Ce n\u2019est pas une histoire n\u00e9e de l\u2019imagination, mais un texte qui puise aux documents d\u2019archives, et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, pour l\u2019essentiel, aux actes de notaires. Michel Bonnier, un gars de Ruffign\u00e9, a furet\u00e9 parmi des centaines de sources d\u2019archives, pendant plus de quatre d\u00e9cennies, pour nous offrir de succulentes tranches de vie de notre r\u00e9gion \u00e0 la veille de la R\u00e9volution de 1789. N\u00e9 \u00e0 Ruffign\u00e9, notre auteur conna\u00eet en profondeur son territoire, d\u2019autant mieux qu\u2019\u00e0 chacun de ses pas, pourrait-on dire, il y colle un texte notarial. Voici donc des s\u00e9quences de vie qui s\u2019incrustent dans les terroirs et les personnages de Ruffign\u00e9. Pendant cinquante ans, tout semble s\u2019organiser autour de deux personnages-cl\u00e9s&nbsp;: le recteur Charles Pineaud et son comp\u00e8re le notaire Julien Lema\u00eetre.
